One step at a time...

At this point in the game there is a very specific order to this madness. For the past week we have been waiting on dryer, warmer weather so that we could pour concrete for the sidewalk and driveway. This is an essential step that cannot be bypassed. We can't sand and stain hardwoods until we have concrete to walk on (instead of dirt and mud), we can't lay carpet until we have hardwoods, and we can't have paint touch ups until all of those steps have happened. Here is what we have been able to accomplish in the mean time.

Bob has used his shop-vac to pic up any and all specs of dust and dirt. Such attention to detail!

Hank and Loretta have been to the house twice now. They loved exploring the backyard and running full speed through the house. That may not happen when the hardwoods are complete!

We have framed for the driveway and front sidewalk.

And installed the shutters...after a panicked search for "S' shutter-stays.
Here is the front as it is today. Concrete trucks are at the house right now! I will post new pics asap. Sorry for the blurry pictures. I will try and remember our camera, instead of just using the camera on my phone
