Another Work in Progress

Like just about everything else, the upstairs is no where near "finished." I keep wondering when we will actually accomplish all that we have on the To-Do List?? I can't wait for summer so that I can't start crossing things off!

Heading up the stairs we continue the pale blue with a painting of an aloe plant. I have to admit that it is a little strange, but in a soothing way right?

This is the same furniture we had in 2nd bedroom in Soho. It is so refreshing to look out of windows and see green! A definite change from condo living.

This furniture is Bob's from his law school days. It fits perfectly! If you know me, then you are aware that animal prints really are a stretch for me...even though this is now the second use of zebra in the house. The pattern of the zebra matelasse is almost a jute fabric which to me softens the pattern a bit and gives it some texture.

We have all of the same furniture in the master that we had in Soho.

We even cut down the drapes so we could reuse them. We only had two windows in our Soho bedroom so we used two panels as "side panels" to frame the wall.

Here you can see just how long these drapes used to be.

Going from 17ft ceilings to 8 ft ceilings allowed us to have some extra fabric.

Which we gladly recycled for the mater bath.

Now to the Man Room. This is what Bob and Hank have been waiting two years for...

THE LEGENDARY BLUE COUCH!

Bob loves his Florida Gators and he loves his blue denim couch. He is very proud that Florida is undefeated in games watched from the blue couch. Don't worry Bama fans, I will insure that he is in T-Town for this years rematch!

Back to the house...

This is the room (literally exact furniture in the exact same place) where Bob and I spent so many date nights watching football, movies, and the Sopranos back in the day. It is so much fun remembering all of those special times as "daters."

The drapes are a raw burlap with a red and white mattress ticking band.

You have probably noticed that yet again we have nothing on the walls. Bob has so many things he wants to put up that we are trying very hard to place them appropriately.
